WOW I really love this. Most people see rats as horrible dirty animals.Like you i see them to be very beautiful smart animals. In this drawing you did that's what I see. Beauty and respect for these lovey creatures. :0)

Let's see... a rat (without the tail) is about the size of a woman's hand. So Tom, who looks like a teen here, is about 4'8 inches... it works with a 2 inches baby.
Gorgeous picture, I love your drawing, the colors, etc, all technical details... will take a look at your gallery for sure !
It's nice to see Tom with a teen-adult body, not child or dwarf proportions.

I added this to my favourites ages ago; thought I would tell you why 
There's a boy I know, we are really good friends and he has many other friends now. But when I met him he was smaller than all the boys & everyone used to make fun of him and call him rat boy and I felt like I was the only person that could see his loveliness. This picture made me think of him, it's so adorable.

I love what a traditional illustration style this uses, even though it's made with a distinctly non-traditional tool. The composition, Tom's appearance, the colors--all so Victorian, and also very much your own. Absolutely lovely work.
