I'm really glad you like the atmosphere. The freedom, I think it was especially about it, and also, maybe some kind of anticipation, this is why it is the 'Aurora', the dawn, even if the picture was shot at sunset. It was a test, the first of a series, almost a symbolic thing to do and such a beautiful memory.
I agree that it is too dark, I easily tend to underexpose.
