General rundown- yes as affirmed in the piece here Bakugo was an influence, in mind I also had the 2012 iteration of Raph TMNT.
He's over-aggressive and has terrible control of his temper, though I'd say he's far from intentionally malicious as much as "he can be kinda stupid and rude and just hates not understanding things." and the caveat is that he can actually harm normal people far worse than if he was a standard human teenager with anger issues. Byron is unlikely to really say it out loud or admit it proper, but he does feel ashamed after escalating something too egregiously once his head is cleared.
He's exactly that kid who watches a lot a lot of shonen up there with Dragon Ball and tries to copy the actual (*physical) combat that happens in them.
