LMAO after like 8 years this is the first SasuKata pic I do this is just a little experimental piece to see just how dark I can go pushing boundaries since '94 yo~~
I tried my hardest not to illuminate this with my 50 million glowy powers LOL

Okay, okay, so I've been dying to start on this little project! Especially since the "Naruto series" continues with Boruto

To start things off let me say that the little kid up there is NOT Sasuke and Kata's child! But he is related to them by blood!

Now I know this is a cartoon!!! But I really don't believe Sasuke would marry, or even lay with a woman ¬.¬ at least not as early as when his canon daughter Sarada was born, like???? If the boy is barely finding himself again after YEARS of avenging and hatred and what not??? He wouldn't open his heart that fast??? But whatever this is why we have fan fiction
In my PERSONAL opinion, it would've been more believable that Sasuke had a niece/newphew. In such case he would've had a "child" even if it was just adopted, but it would still be his blood. And personally I think it would've been more meaningful for Sasuke to have a niece/nephew 'cause that would've connected him directly to Itachi even after believing all those lies about his brother. It could've been a way to emotionally heal completely

But anyways here's the rather long story behind the image!
The little kid's name is Souta Uchiha. He is the child of the late Itachi Uchiha and Yue Mae. say whaa
Souta was born just months before Itachi died and that left Yue to care for their baby on her own. But seeing as only 3 people knew of Souta's existence she had to be very careful on making sure no one else knew of him.
Yue's old caretaker was the only other person apart from Itachi and Yue who knew of Souta. Yue also couldn't keep away from the village without raising any questions on her disappearance; she had successfully hidden her pregnancy enough at the first stages of it however.
When going back to the village she was intersected by Danzo who questioned where she had hidden the child. Yue tried playing it off as if she didn't know what he had been talking about.
A fight soon broke out, one in which Yue didn't walk out of it. Even to her last breath she didn't say anything about Souta.
Years then went by and after the Fourth Great Ninja War (around the time of Sasuke Shinden, when they're about 19-21 years of age) Kata is moving things in her room and accidentally dropped a photograph of her late Parents and Sister.
When Kata picked up the broken glass there was a letter behind the photo in Yue's handwriting. It had an address and an apology.
When Kata arrived to the little house miles away from the Hidden Leaf Village, there was an elderly woman with a toddler.
The elderly woman introduced herself as Yue's old caretaker and then she addressed the child as 'Souta'. Kata questioned the woman and the letter she held in hand.
Aiko, the elderly woman, then explained everything to Kata who broke down unable to contain herself and her emotions.
With a panic attack rapidly rising Kata questioned many things Aiko never got an answer to; at this point Kata had a million thoughts racing through her mind.
At first Kata doubted immensely the child's parents and if Yue was truly his mother. But there was no reason for Yue to even write something and keep it well hidden just for it to turn out a lie. Besides Souta did resemble a bit of Yue, but his most prominent features were undoubtedly the Uchiha genes.
Afterwards Kata questioned what was she to do with a child who wasn't even suppose to happen. It was all due to Madara and Sumiko that the Uchiha and Mae were never to marry much less conceive children. or maybe this rule happened cause Hashirama was jelly that Sumiko stole Madara lolol jk jk this is serious ahem ahem U__U
Before another panic attack took a hold of Kata, Souta had run up to her and hugged the brunette, in that moment the motherly instincts kicked in and now she was determined to protect Souta at all costs.
Having Kata resemble Yue, Souta saw her as his mother and was actually very attached to her. When Souta started to talk he began to call Kata 'mom', in which Kata didn't correct him.
Then the hard task of taking care of Souta began for Kata. For one she couldn't bring him to the village, afraid of what the elders would do with Souta upon knowing his lineage; and secondly the elders of her clan were awaiting her to start preparing Kata to take over being head of the clan.
In a rather impulsive move Kata left the Hidden Leaf village claiming that the elders of her clan were putting too much pressure on her and that she needed some time away. Naruto not wanting another friend be like 13 year old Sasuke he quickly caught up to Kata and demanded an explanation, knowing from the start that her clan wasn't really what had her all worried.
Having no other choice, and Naruto being Kata's closest friend, she explained everything to him. Through tears Kata pleaded the blond to not say anything about Souta, to which he obviously said he'd keep the secret and aid her in anything she needed.
And so with that in mind Kata went off to live at the little house with Souta. Aiko did help in the remaining years of her life seeing Souta as a grandchild of sorts, but time moved forward and she passed years later.
About 2 years afterwards Kata had to face another challenge, one which could be the biggest one yet.
Sasuke Uchiha. The other closest member to Souta.
Now at the age of 6 Souta was more aware of life around him, but how in the world was Kata just going to walk up to the ex-rouge ninja and claim Souta as his nephew; when Sasuke didn't even know who she was.
But that was exactly what she did!
One day Kata went to find Sasuke (leaving Souta in Naruto's care for a few hours) and having rehearsed in her mind what she was going to say, she went ahead and did as such.
Introducing herself she had claimed she had something very, very, very important for Sasuke to know. But Kata already knew what his reaction would be, so she attempted to keep her temper in check through his yelling.
He walked away.
Not even months later Kata found herself in a tight spot when an ambush happened at the little house she had been calling home for the past 2 years.
The group of rouge ninja had attempted to submit the brunette but she fought back protecting Souta from harm, however she didn't fully protect herself.
In a slight second she lowered her guard and opened way to harm. Souta being present thought the worst when Kata fell limp to the ground.
His sharingan awakened in that moment and Sasuke had been present to witness it (he had an internal conflict going on when Kata had said he had a newphew and decided to "spy" to rid the doubt). Souta attacked Sasuke thinking he was also one of the rouge ninja but stopped when Kata stood up saying she was merely stunned.
Now Sasuke's doubts had washed away seeing Souta with his awakened sharingan. He took Kata and Souta to where the former members of Team Taka were at. It was a bit of a long journey so that evening Sasuke and Kata decided to rest at an inn and there she explained everything to him, now both more calmly.
Kata also told Sasuke that she wasn't seeking anything out of him with such news. She had informed him of Souta for his brother, and because Souta was his nephew and it would only seem humane for Sasuke to know of his remaining family.
Sasuke on the other hand silently thanked Kata (didn't really verbally say it LOL translated more like "hmm"). Kata had also explained the reason why she couldn't return to the village yet.
Sasuke understood and 100% supported it. And while he was more than willing to give her shelter she had to know he wasn't going to be with Souta all the time due to his "job/mission" he had to move from place to place quite often.
At this Kata understood and she didn't mind one bit. She had also stated how she wasn't trying to stop him from finding a woman to form a family with, but Sasuke soon stopped her short stating that personal lives were not going to be spoken of. They were family to Souta and that's how he was to see them. He would grow up with all the love he himself couldn't have as a child.
After agreeing to certain things their long journey began.

While it all seems like it would've gone colorful and bright, Sakura actually found the three one day and knowing the Uchiha/Mae ordeal chaos broke free and stuff went down and BOIIII.
To cut the next section short so sorry just so much story before Boruto LOL Kata was brought back to the village by force and she was to explain Souta and her relationship with Sasuke (Sakura claiming that Kata had had Sasuke's child and well....you know her 'love' for him and bla bla)
At this time Kakashi was still Hokage (cause yeah this was a couple of years before the Boruto anime thing so yeah). Being cornered and seeing no way of breaking out of it, Kata had to explain everything.
Everyone at the Hokage's office stayed silent. The room soon began to rise in temperature and Kata made sure to engrave the following words in everyone's head "if anything happens to Souta, I will turn everything to ash".

And this is getting long so I'll stop it there!

So keep an eye out on more of this rather dramatic story
