Total time spent on the drawing: All afternoon.
Number of colors used: I lost count.
The original color of the paper: paper bag brown.

It was actually kinda fun doing a serious (?) portrait. Once I got into it I realized that her nose and mouth are crooked. Really! You can’t make up that kind of stuff. Even now I’m looking at the drawing and thinking “That part’s wrong, and so is that shape, and that too” All I can say to that is “Pha!” Good enough, I was at the point where every thing I was doing was doing more harm than good. So ‘nuff!

One more quick note. I used Nupastels on an 8 ½ x 11 piece of paper. These pastels are about a quarter inch square (7mm) so it was next to impossible to get in there and go after really fine detail. So sorry if the drawing seems a little choppy.
