Description Another in the series of stuff from my college era. I looked through several acre-feet of old portfolios and pulled out maybe 25 drawings that were decent. And then scanned a handful of those. Some are from life drawing classes, some are from my sketchbook, and some were drawn immediately after college. And lastly a self portrait taken from my BFA show.

This next set is straight out of my sketch book. There are some weird things coming.

A little whimsical thing based on a WWII era truck.

I thought that might have been an old Dodge deuce and a half from WW2. In recent years I have had a thing for their Russian counterparts.

Once upon a time I worked for a summer as a forest firefighter. I did a sketch of the fire engine very similar to this one, and gave it to the driver. He seemed to like it. Just a detail, I drew him "Kilroy was here" style, complete with helmet, sunglasses, nose, and mustache hanging out of the window.

That's sort of like when I was taking flying lessons...I guess we did some fun stuff back in the day. The flight school owner let me change the oil and fill up the tires in exchange for free flight time.
