BridgeA weird bit of reality.
I had one of those “Eureka!” moments last Saturday. Taking a quick glimpse through my gallery, it’s easy to notice one thing I very rarely use, a background. I was camping over on the coast and happened to bring the camera. I was watching my nieces play on this very bridge when - Brain flash! An idea, you know, a headache with pictures.
I’ve seen drawings where a figure is superimposed over a random background, but never one where the figure is actually “fit” into the background.

Of the three, Fry seems to fit the scene best. He's perfectly posed. Must have been tough getting them right.
I don't think I've mentioned this before but I love the way you draw Leela's boots. They look similar but they're much more sleek and defined.

Getting them sized was the toughest part. The perspective made Bender just a little smaller.
Getting them colored and shaded even half way right was the toughest part. Fry is the chopiest colored of the three and he fits the best. Go figure...
Getting them... oh, well, okay enough toughest gags!

Yep, I think Fry lost his can of Slurm, and I hope Bender has suction cups on his foot cups.

nicely mixed, specially fry. perhaps you can add them separate and fix the contrast a little on leela and bender so they can appear more similar to the photo tones, but i like the full scene.

Cool! Posing and scaling everybody was tricky, Bender is a bit smaller.
Interesting comments on the tones, I'll see what I can do. The next one has some really strong sun light/shadows. That one I'll definately be aware of the tones.

This is a really cool scene! I like the integration of your drawn style and the photographic background with a bit of editing to make them come together.

One thing I didn't do was to put in a cast shadow. The lighting is not really pronounced so skipping a shadow or three wasn't a big deal.
