I really enjoy chess and this photograph is quite the thought-provoking. Lots of friendly fire can be expected by the middle game, and by the time the end game is reached, no one's going to be sure who's who... and, that can prove to be an advantage or disadvantage for the opposing sides. In the end, they're all going to discover that they're really no different from one another, though that discovery could potentially come too late. This is a game that won't end well.
Love the gray hues in this photograph and how you're able to keep them distinct. I've set up a chessboard on many an occasion, but this is the first I've come across one set up like this. Love that you stayed with the rules of chess with the queens being on the square of their color.
Thanks for sharing!

Great meaning with this concept. It'll only end in confusion when you can't tell friend from foe like this game.
