The town of Larne was known for its unpredictable weather, and today was no exception. As the rain began to pour, Chloe sat by her window, a hint of disappointment in her eyes. She was due to meet her best friend, Marie, at the local café. But she couldn’t risk it, for she had a secret. A single drop of rain on her skin, and she'd transform into a mermaid.

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. Marie, drenched from head to toe, stood there, a playful smile on her face. Before Chloe could react, Marie gave her a tight, wet hug. Almost instantly, Chloe felt a tingling sensation. She broke away and bolted towards the bathroom.

"Chloe, please tell me what's wrong," Marie pleaded from outside.
