I like the visual metaphor of venting. No surprise that it’s so prevalent. The idea that when things go awry and negative feelings start piling up, that there’s just some valve within that you can open up to relieve the pressure, to release everything in a billowing cloud of toxins and ash. Who wouldn’t want to have one?
