The first thing I notice about this piece is the contrast between the masked woman on the left and the one on the right. The juxtaposition of creepy and cheerful is something I really love about a lot of anime. Some of the things that lend themselves to the contrast are: Left's neat orderly hair and dainty hairpin compared with right's cowlick, left's fairly clean facial texture and right's drippy forehead (not to mention the blood. ), left's regal posture and right's unnatural head position.

The second juxtaposition is within left's mask. It smiles, but at the same time is crying. I get the impression that it represents her facade and what she really feels is something more like right. The eye on her forehead also creates a sense of duplicity. Left is also shadowed while right is in the light. It makes me think that I should be more worried about the one who smiles than the one who bares her teeth.

The brushes/textures you used give the piece a very traditional art feel in spite of being a digital piece. It reminds me of paper dolls for some reason. I really like the sponge texture, especially where it lends a lot of interest to the background.

One thing I think this piece could use some more of is highlights. For example, straight hair tends to be super shiny in places, like this picture.  Also, unless the blood is dried, it would also have little highlights. I would also recommend using a harder brush for opaque liquids. I think adding some highlights to both the hair and blood would give this piece some more depth.

Next time you make an icon, I would recommend starting with a smaller canvas. The closer in size the original picture is to the icon size, the more clear/crisp the icon will be.

Finally, I was wondering what the light sources are. Are they windows? I can see some very interesting shadows happening on both girls heads, and on left's neck. It looks like there are at least three right? The one hitting the tops of their heads, the one hitting left's neck and the one making right much, much brighter than left.

Great work! I love the unique look of the picture. But there are some places where the coloration goes outside the lines and the teeth of the girl on the right seem a tad more cartoony than the rest of the picture. Overall, great pic with just some tiny mishaps here and there.
