A KDF VTOL transport suffered a catastrophic engine failure and was forced to make an emergency crash landing onto a remote moon. Upon crash landing, the transport lost its right thruster and wing. Other transports reported seeing fire coming from the right thruster and left exhaust port of the craft before touching down onto a beach.

Gold Eagle, the KDF Capital Ship in which the transport was assigned to, received a series of burst transmissions shortly after communications with the pilots have ceased, coming from Lance Corporal Jordan Christensen of the Khvatkian Peacekeeping Forces, assigned to a Pathfinder battalion. Shortly after communications with Christensen ceased, a light corvette cruiser was dispatched by Gold Eagle to rescue any survivors.

The Search and Rescue team reported that Christensen was the only survivor of the crash, and was found face down in the sand next to the downed VTOL craft. The report of the casualties is as follows:

1. Sergeant Chance Mason (Omega 3-2 Actual) - KIA, survived the crash with Christensen only to succumb to his injuries shortly after. Found sitting next to the left door.

2. Private Benito Ramirez - KIA, survived the crash with Christensen only to succumb to his injuries shortly after crawling a short distance out of the craft's left side door.

3. Pilot Alan Cordova - KIA, involuntarily ejected from the craft.

4. Pilot Michael Li - KIA, found inside the cockpit.

5. 10 Peacekeepers, identities TBA - KIA, found buried under debris and sand in various areas of the craft; believed to have died from the impact or suffocation/crushed by debris.

Christensen was treated for serious injuries aboard the light cruiser following the incident.

The Khvatkian Peacekeeping Forces are a branch of the Khvatkian Defense Forces that serve as the planet's armed forces.

These soldiers are highly trained and highly disciplined, their endeavors have yielded high success rates with little casualties. Peacekeepers undergo intense training involving ground, naval, aerial, atmospheric and space combat, with many of their instructors being former Tier 1 special forces from Earth.  KPFs are stationed in various KDF installations including bases, airfields, orbital/atmospheric space ports, naval vessels, and satellites orbiting Khvatka.
