YAY!!! Another picture! This one's actually BY ME, too! If you can't tell from looking at them, this is *dun da-na-na dah!* Nyaasu (Meowth) and Pikachu! Yaaaaay!!!!

*ahem* Yes, I am a PokeFan... (uh, I don't know how to do the accent mark on the 'e'... I don't mean like poking... I mean short for "Pokemon"...) I also like drawing cartoon characters and animals and so forth in my style. My style is... people like this... I tried to keep as many of the defining characteristics of each Pokemon as possible without crossing the line into furries or catboy/mousegirl/whatever or the like. Examples:
Nyaasu's tail > ponytail
ears and whiskers > hair spikes
coin > dyed... spot
paws > socks
Pikachu's ears > bangs
Lightning bolt tail > curly ponytail
electric... pad... things... on the cheeks > blush marks
Brown fur on tail > hair scrunchie
...and the way it has no legs at all > she's wearing a skirt.

So anyway, I haven't seen (m)any pics like this... taking a pokemon and making it a human... I've seen the other direction, though... *shudders* So I felt it high time to draw this.

Also, because NYAAPIKA IS SOOOO CUTE!!!!!!!!! XD -^ O ^-

Moving on, I made Meowth a boy because, well, it's pretty obvious that he's a guy, right? I hope it is, anyway. The big problem I had was with Pikachu's gender, though. Was Satoshi (Ash)'s Pikachu a boy or a girl in the show? I won't give you the details on my internal debate, but I ended up making it a girl because of a few reasons...
1) Pikachu acts really snitty (and PMS-y) when Satoshi first becomes its trainer, and then turns around and is completely loyal to Satoshi. Yeah, boys can be loyal, too, but I don't think a boy can switch *snap* that quickly and that completely...
2) Pikachu goes into the girls' side of the onsen (hot spring) with Kasumi (Misty)... Yeah, you could argue that "Pika's just hentai like that" or "It's a Pokemon, what does anyone care what side of the bath it goes into?" or "WT*****H does that have anything to do with anything?" but I just say, why did it never go into Satoshi's side then? Plus I think Kasumi would've said something eventually...
3) Nyaasu sings to Pikachu as if Pika's a girl. There's even a line in the song "Hey! Pikachu!" that references very clearly Pika's gender using the phrase 'onna no ko' (which means "girl"). Japanese normally doesn't refer to people or things as 'he' or 'she'... (Unlike French, for example.) The whole song's very 'I hate/love/like/whatever you'... Chou kawaii~!
4) The name "Pikachu" just sounds more feminine to me... So there. And I just like Pika being a girl. XD (And no, I don't therefore think that all Pikachu are girls... >
Anyway, as per usual, I used pencil, pen, eraser, a scanner, and Corel PhotoPaint.
