My fiancé and I have been on a Batman kick lately, and spent all of last week watching Batman Beyond. Last night, after finishing the Return of the Joker, he tells me that I need to watch Under the Red Hood. Considering how much of a Batman fangirl I used to be (especially Robin) he was surprised that I hadn’t watched that movie yet (In my defense, I have not been involved in Batman-anything in a very, very long time).So we watch it and it was awesome and Jason Todd is a sexy beast (my fiancé fanboys over Jason, too, so it’s okay, I’m allowed to say these things). He’s quickly climbing up there to replacing Tim Drake as my favorite Robin. Yeah, I cried at the end. Shut up.
My work schedule has been fucking around with my sleep schedule quite a bit, so instead of sleeping, I stayed up the entire night sketching Jason. It’s really only meant to be a sketch piece, but I like it. I know Jason’s hair was originally red (yay, Wikipedia!) so I tried to make his hair a reddish-black. Well, it turns out that reddish-black is just a purple prose way of saying "brown". Huh. Who would’ve guessed.
I had too much fun with his clothes. As I was drawing, I started to wonder who exactly he took a tussle with this time.
It’s looking more and more like it’s Catwoman.
Also, once Jason got all patched back together, Alfred gave his hair a courtesy trim.

Jason: I snuck into Catwoman's apartment
Barbara: Okay, she's usually a lot cooler about that
Jason: She was changing into her catsuit and I walked in on her naked

Alfred: Now, now, Master Jason, you can't very well go about capturing criminals if you can't see them. And if you insist on fighting like a brute, at least you shouldn't look like one. Sit still now. There's a good lad. *snip snip snip*

Alfred: I do concur that the disco era is not one I recall fondly. Too many flashing lights and people always coming down with some kind of fever during the weekend. There now. That's better. Now society will look twice before judging you with a small measure of accuracy to be a juvenile delinquent. Do take care for the next few days, Master Jason. Those injuries will take some time to heal.
