Gosh, I'm so excited over this picture! I'm sure it's far from the best HDR, but this was the first time I've ever even attempted HDR. My cousin Chris and his wife Ellie were also going to drive into town, and so Ellie called me and asked if I brought a wide-angle lens along, and of course I said yes. So she told me she was going to take me to the Garden of the Gods in Shawnee National Park so we could take sunset pictures together.
The sky was lovely, even though there were too many clouds on the horizon to take pictures during the prime moments of the sunset. I was okay with it, but Ellie was a little disappointed.
Anyway, I'm so glad Ellie let me use Photomatix on her computer, or I would have had to wait until I go back to North Carolina before I could put together the HDR brackets and upload this. :3
The clouds in the top left corner could use some work, but I'll have to wait until I get home to do any more editing.
