Description Well...I am not quite sure how I feel about this, though I guess she did turn out alright. This is a lioness that I got from ReddRedPanda a long, long, long time ago and only have now decided to try drawing myself. You can see her on this: www.deviantart.com/reddredpand… . The reference image is kind of small, but I think I did good with her head tuft. Her reference is based on the mask for Sarabi from the Broadway Musical, I like it...but I don't understand it? Like the expression on Musical Sarabi looks so sad even though she is in a happy scene...

So this is my version of Mohatu's queen and the mother of Uru and her siblings. She comes from the Tree of Life and is related to Sarabi via her brother...royal inbreeding at its finest.

Sheshe:     "Beauty" -- Swahili
Parents: Bomba, Amani
Sibling: Chimwala
Voice actor: Alfre Woodard [Sarabi (2019)]
Mate: Mohatu
Offspring: Uru, Joe, Asta

A princess from the Night Pride, Sheshe is known for being a rather lazy lioness who can often be found lying in the sun and only does the bare minimum on hunts. This frustrates her parents who wonder how she will ever be a good queen if she has zero motivation. But then Sheshe is sent to the Pride Lands and meets Prince Mohatu and his family. While Mjusi and Asanis are unsavory characters, Mohatu and Queen Shuruku are kind and take the time to try to get Sheshe involved with pride life as well as royal duties.

Sheshe comes to realize that much of her feelings comes from feeling like her parents preferred her brother more since he was the future king and all that. She is made to feel wanted and valuable and proves to be a good wife and queen, as well as a loving mother to her and Mohatu’s three cubs.

Like her husband, Sheshe is bitten by a cobra and dies.
