the sky once a light blue
slowly gets turned a darker shade,
the clouds creep in, a dark gray.
what people see as an ugly day,
brings a smile to this one's face.

drops of rain drop over head,
the wind kicks up as the weather
gets all the more darker and wet.
i feel a happiness no one else gets.

thunder sounds, lightning strikes,
oh, such a wonderful sight.
the clouds encase the wonderful light,
layers of clouds dark and bright.

people all run for cover,
this was once weather for lovers,
not it seems to be only a bother...

i love these dark, wet, cloudy days.
it's a shame people forget how to play,
they would rather just glare and complain.
"oh, i hope its clear soon, i hope it goes away."

why don't you enjoy it for it's sound and beauty?
why do you see this as being faulty, and ugly?
we're the only planet with this gift, enjoy these days....
without this rain you wouldn't be alive today,
think about that next time it starts to rain,
instead of whining with your complaints.
