I wanted to update another old god concept I did, this time being Ame no Uzume. Mainly it's to practice certain stuff, right now being female forms/faces which I struggle a lot with.

Ame no Uzume is the Japanese goddess of dawn, mirth, and revelry. She is famous for her involvement in Amaterasu's lore, where she lures her out of a cave by turning over a tub and performing a dance where she removes her clothes, which is said to be the origin of kagura dancing. She is featured in other tales as well, which also accentuate her...personality, such as how she persuaded Sarutahiko Okami to allow Amaterasu's son Ninigi to rule Japan by exposing her breasts, and later marrying him. I wanted to keep this personality attached to her. She's fun-loving, loud, and a partier, but also sensual and feminine. She's like a very feminine Bacchus; she's an entertainer. I imagine Nox's original taunt would fit very well on her.

As for her visual design I went for something reminiscent of the sun and of dawn, but more pastel and light rather than harsh like Amaterasu's colors. Her clothing is light because she is a dancer, and over time it gets lighter obviously. Her weapon is the magical scarf twisting around her body which she would use as a weapon, both delicate and fast, allowing her to dance around her enemies or wrap them up or simply whip it at them for her basic attacks. It is the focus of her design so it glows with sunlight and does not change through her changes. As we obviously have a dancer goddess, being Chang'e, Uzume would need to avoid having similar movements. That's where the floating sash would come in, accenting and extending her movements. Uzume would be very graceful and magical in her animations, but would not be as fairy-like or fleeting as Chang'e is. Uzume is of heavenly origin but she'd be very earthly if you get what I mean.

The main point of her design is the clothing. As her passive activates in some way, articles of her clothing would come off and appear as butterflies around her until they spawn back on her. I tried to make this technically possible by having it so that the clothes would not literally come off, but rather be turned invisible when not in use, that way there wouldn't need to be multiple models for her. Her hair is somewhat similar where it is folded up into a bun of sorts until she ults, where it's simply scaled back to normal to reveal it as a somewhat long ponytail.

I hope you guys enjoy the artwork and some of the ability ideas! It was fun to work on.

Ability wise I didn't really plan on making a full concept redo, just the art. I did write down some potential abilities for her though. I imagine her to be an assassin or a melee mage with long range basics with her sash, and she would be somewhat basic attack focused. Here are some of the ideas I had for abilities:

- As a general kit mechanic which could or could not be used, she could be the first god where all of her abilities are some sort of steroid for her basic attacks or some sort of buff to aid her basic attacks. Each of her abilities could have tiny minor passives to make up for the lack of actual regular abilities.
- Most importantly the passive. I imagine she would use a passive idea I had on another goddess, where it's basically a rhythm bar. If she uses abilities on beat they would come out faster or with enhanced capabilities, and keeping the bar going provides her with some kind of continuous buff. Each beat would cause an article of clothing to come off and turn into a butterfly FX so it'd be easy to tell how many passive stacks she has (stopping at 3). If she messes up she'd have to restart.
- Second most important is her ultimate, which makes use of the final form on the model sheet. She would be covered by rays of light so she's not actually visually nude, pretty much just Nu Wa but with light rays. It wouldn't be a literal form she plays as, just a momentary form she assumes. I think it would be some kind of small AoE charm CC and depending on if your passive is going the charm would last longer. Maybe it would also remove any debuffs from her or prevent the next enemy CC from afflicting her. Maybe instead of just charming enemies they'd be forced to dance toward her (if they have a dance emote, if not they just walk toward her.)
- Another version of her passive idea I had early on was that she could pick from three dance types at the start of a match. One would grant her more magical power and her rhythm meter would be based on using abilities, one would grant her additional basic attack damage and her rhythm meter would be based on hitting basic attacks, and the final one would be a mix of both. It would allow her to adopt different playstyles.
- Maybe some kind of minor passive where if she basic attacks as soon as an enemy basic attack hits her she strikes faster and deals increased damage.
- An ability where she slings her sash to a ground AoE, wrapping enemies' feet and pulling back, disorienting the enemy and pulling them in her direction.
- She spins her sash outward, creating a large AoE, and then spins it back toward her to pull enemies closer. Maybe targeting it close or far would make her pull enemies close or push enemies away.
- Something like a counter ability where she absorbs a % of damage she takes and then after reactivation the ability would be some kind of attack that dealt the % as true damage?
- A buff that increases the size/length of her sash, giving her abilities and basic attacks extended range and/or damage.
- A movement ability where she spin-leaps to a target location in one of four directions, swinging her scarf back toward the location she jumped to attack in a small area.
- A buff where she suspends her passive and gains increasingly stronger attack speed and attack power for each basic attack she hits, giving her more dancey animations. If she hits all of her basic attacks maybe she would give herself a heal or refresh her cooldowns or something.
- Some sort of buff attached to one of her abilities where if she hits an enemy she matches their movement speed (if theirs is faster) and gains any buffs or healing they've received in the past few seconds for the same duration.
- Summoning illusions of herself around the last enemy she hit which last for a duration. Whenever she uses basic attacks or abilities the illusions do the same, dealing very reduced damage.
- A simple stationary swing of her hips that makes her sash fly around her in a circle, dealing damage. If the ability is charged in some way, maybe holding the key down or activating it multiple times or just letting it charge, it would grow larger and deal more damage, and at max charge would disorient enemies in place.
- An ability that changes depending on who you're fighting. If you're boxing a melee character it would cause her to dash through her enemy and then bring the sash afterward, dealing damage twice and possibly turning them around. If you're fighting a ranged character she would swing her sash in a large scissor motion, twirling the enemy around and possibly making her get closer somehow.

Characters from other media to look toward for the kind of animations or abilities I'm talking about are Rose from Street Fighter, Amane Nishiki from BlazBlue, Lisa Lisa from JoJo's Bizarre Adventures, Koshosho from Samurai Warriors, and Kyogoku Maria from Sengoku Basara. They all have a similar way of fighting.
