This was an assignment for my Literary Science Fiction class. We were to draw what we thought the Overlords looked like. This is from "Childhood's End" by Arthur Clarke.

And before you ask, yes, it has seven fingers.

"...And George noticed for the first time that he ((Rashaverak, an Overlord)) had two opposed thumbs, with five fingers between them."
