Description Ehh.. fluff. Haven't done anything with knotwork in a while, and just wanted to make sure I could still do it. My problem is, I do the pics so huge in photoshop, they're hard to compress down..

This reminds me of the tree topper.
I wonder if these patterns could be applied to it!

Be reassured, it seems that you're still very at ease with knots.
I really love that piece, there's just something, I would have used more visible and old aspect letters for the cardinal points, but we'll say it's due to my addiction to calligraphy
I find the compass very refined in fact, I think the letter could be a bit more majestic.
But as I've just said, it's quite personal.

I really like the background and colours chosen, giving it a good old aspect. And I'm still wondering how it's possible to make knots with Photoshop, I've tried, but I think that stupid thing and I can't understand each other. lol
I'm taking back my pencils.
And adding this compass to my favs.

Thank you! Means a lot coming from you.. I use the pen tool in photoshop, you just have to play around with it. It's very much like using illustrator and vector tools. I was going to use my pens for this, but the stupid cats turned over my ink bottles and they leaked. I didn't realize it until the next day. Now I've got a big stained tablecloth and a spot on my table..

Thank you for faving it!

I love this lots. If I'd done it I would have taken longer, I fiddle around a bit.

Thank you.. I wouldn't say that, I fiddle around a lot too.. I've tried to explain to others, the idea may take weeks, sketching, doodling.. I've got about 4 pages of just triangles and knotwork inside it doodled in a sketchbook. So that when I sit down, it's already clear in my mind.

woow, great work!! what program do you use to draw knots?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

kaidoh In reply to Fuesousha-Kinoko [2006-02-02 11:39:54 +0000 UTC]

Pencil and paper.. then once I've got the pattern down pat, I use the pen tool in Photoshop to create a clean line. I was going to use acrylic ink, but the *Spasm* cats turned over my ink bottles on the kitchen table and they ruined my table cloth, two watercolor board books, etc.. I have no acrylic ink at the moment..

I started sketching out the knots about 2 days ago.. before I went to bed, so all told, maybe 4 hours?
