Long, long ago, before I or anyone else currently attending went to Freedom high, there once existed an art class. But for some reason lost in time, the class was shut down and the doors to the art room were locked up. Inside, paintings that kids had done long ago were sealed behind those doors and undisturbed over the years. In my junior year the art class was started up again, and every thursday those few freaks interested would hold classes amid the mess of art and paint and clutter that's been there for longer than any of us would remember. The room has a creepy ambience to it, but hidden away inside is all the paper, paint, charcoal, or anything I could ever need. To top it all of there is an old stereo/radio with one of those old fashioned manual tuners that I can listen to music on while I paint. On tuesday afternoons I don't have an afternoon class at school. When I don't have to go to work, I like to get keys from the secretary to go let myself into the artroom and hang out in there. Has to be my favorite place in the world.
And that's exactly what I was doing when I decided to paint shelby's still life instead of my own for the simple reason that it was cooler.
