The year is 1985 in a fantasy universe much like our own, almost exactly like it, actually.

An elven man named Blaise Phoenix is doing exceptionally well on the music charts, until it comes out that he hasn't been performing any of his own music.
He drops the glamour he used on himself to present his stage persona and 30 years and some lawsuits later,
Clarence finds god in a hotel room bible and devotes his life to attempting to create worship music.

And that's how a wannabe-elf bard becomes a firbolg cleric.
