Skyrovers (high harpies) - winged humanoid creatures with a number of their own racial characteristics
It is not worth calling them people with wings, because, first of all, you get a punch from representatives of this race. They prefer to call themselves birds, and their children - chicks.

They are endemic to the planet Nouko, there is also a small (several million individuals) diaspora on the planet Liryon
Descended from local harpies. They are considered the offspring of a local deity, created specifically to protect the harpies from attacks by humans at the beginning of time. They differ from harpies in the absence of a tail, hair on the face and more neat ears and paws. The main distinguishing feature is the innate ability to retract wings. Also, all the first rovers, unlike harpies, had magical abilities, but now, as a result of mixing the blood of both, magicians make up about a fifth of the population.

Physical features of skyrovers

- average life expectancy 150 years
- even in old age they look 40-50 years old by human standards
- Externally, aging is manifested not only in the wear and tear of the skin, but also in the fading of the palette, incl. eyes too, up to white or gray
- oval pupils, change their width depending on the environment and emotions
- minimal body hair, beards and mustaches do not grow
- there are sharp fangs and claws on the hands and feet
- pointed ears that can move in different directions, length varies
- lightweight skeleton
- the spine is lengthened, the muscles are changed, breathing is more developed, there are air sacs inside the body in favor of the wings
- the wings start below the shoulder blades and end at the tailbone, are summoned using a code rune or word (the latter is more often used by non-magicians)
- accelerated metabolism, very rarely come across rovers with a chubby physique, as this complicates the flight up to the impossibility of it
- feet resemble bird ones, fingers are long and with developed motor skills, have a grasping function
- reproduction is complicated

In both sexes, reproductive ability manifests itself at a frequency of about one week per month. Fertilization is possible only when the cycles of both partners coincide and they reproduce germ cells capable of giving birth. Due to this, even a targeted pregnancy is quite difficult to achieve and Skyrovers are one of the fewest races on Nouko. Usually one or two chicks are born in one pregnancy.
