Update! Good-ish news!
Tengteng the kitten's killer pleaded GUILTY to violating the Animal Welfare Act and was meted a fine instead of 6 months imprisonment. He is the first person in the Philippines to be convicted of cruelty against a single animal. He also agreed to attending an Animal Sensitivity Program, and 2 months volunteer work at the PAWS Animal Rehab Center with about 250 cats and 50 dogs. He is also getting professional psychological help from a psychologist.
In Greek mythology, Elysium was a section of the Underworld that was the final resting place of the souls of the heroic and the virtuous.
Dedicated to the kitten killed by Joseph Carlo Candare, the U.P. Cat Killer. Sign this petition in behalf of the murdered kitten, and all animals who have been cruelly killed and never given the justice they deserve for their losing their lives.

I still cannot belive that an animal's life is worthless on nowaday's society... why? Because there are too many animals? The fact is that the most overpopulated species in the world is the human species, i wish that closed minds come with closed mouths. Animals have rights too, i think that no human or animal should be murdered, tortured or threated like worthless trash, that's not right.
Im glad that bastard was punished, but i still think that the sentence is too short.

but why does this one kitten get justice? is it because hes cute and fluffy? wild animals have the same experience getting smashed by cars everyday. what makes this stray cat any different from them?

No one said wild animals don't deserve justice. It has nothing to do with how fluffy they look. You should see the animals in our shelter. They look horrible and some of them are downright fierce. It's just that this guy intentionally did this horrid crime to this poor, defenseless creature and we have evidence, so we're pushing for him to go to jail. We want this to serve as a message to all those cruel kids out there, that what they're doing is bad and punishable by law.

i'm crying from reading the little story about Tengteng, i really need to draw this adorable kitten now.
i breed/bred (someone ran over the queen right after she had her litter in sept) cats, i dont like them as much as i do dogs but they have a nice little spot in my heart. and considering how small and fragile they are, it's just.. disgusting that someone could do that.
i hope the douche gets locked in jail for life, and that all of the people in his section jump and stomp all over him.

I know about the Elysium Fields and such. I love Greek mythology, but anyways... I cannot stand it when people kill innocent animals for no reason, especially ones who kill them with their car...the ones that do it on purpose. I would love to run over them and see how they feel having their body crushed under a two-ton vehicle!
