Just trying to mess with painter again. liked some of my old painter stuff and that pushed me to try it out again. I forgot how to do most things I learned before, however its always fun trying to figure out new ways to do things and just mess with new tools. Tried to get some richness in the skin, but as soon as I moved it to my other monitor, all this dullness revealed itself. Well that's what practice sauce is for.Related content

I think this is amazing! I love doing mixes between Photoshop and Artrage. I think I should buy Painter though. Do you ever think about what he would feel like? I think he would feel pasty as if melted on a concrete wall. Very nice!

I think it was some fashion show where they had some face paint and I wanted to try to approach that in a bust

I love how the texture makes it stand out even more; just love the overall style. Inspires me to work on painter even more; once I get an able computer system.

This is wicked man. The colour choices and texture are rockin. Makes me want to stick with painter some more. Been trying these days to use painter but I loose my patience too easily. Bah, only way to learn I guess. Looks like it could be a CD cover!

Thanks, I like to not have any expectations when using it. Just kinda experiment and go with the flow. The fact that it has the 3D brush texture is a nice way to get some texture all up in there, it adds a different element. I recommend just messing around in it, and discovering things you like about it. Then painter will slowly reveal its secrets..then its all over cause you can go off. OKATRON 500000~~~

That's really impressive the way it seems to be a traditional work. You mastered it quite well, it even has more strength than in the photoshop stuff I think. (or maybe that's just a matter of taste of course ^^ ) And I like the graphic composition and colours in it. :3

First off thanks, Bambou-chan. I like to think of painter as being a medium between digital and traditional, since there has to be some knowledge of both there. I don't know many traditional tricks, and I don't like the setup and cleanup factor. Painter is a nice way to bust that and have it be fun and forgiving, and experiment. Thanks for the comments

diggin those graphic jylz you got goin on in the BG. whatever you did with the program there are some crazy textures that make it look like a traditional painting. i wanna learn painter too but that shit's just way too confusing to me. sick stuff homie, lets see more!

Man just hop on in....the water is fine.. hhehe Yea at first I didnt like all this brush texture stuff, but I just decided to mess with it and go for it. At the end I was pleased with it, and even smoothed out some of it to go along with the face contour, which helped shape some stuff. It's interesting to mess around with. PLAY! *ball pass*
