You crest the last rise, and bask in home's amber glow. Today's evening post has dropped in to cinch; it won't tarry long, and if you hurry you might make it in time to procure something interesting from its store. Gasjacks these days are an enterprising lot.

(I’m known for painting stuff like this, so why not do a little more. This’ll be one of the last pieces I’ll post before I head off to the #asylumsteampunkfestival in Lincoln. And then on to #silwersteam, and the #hastingssteampunkfestival.. I am very grateful for the support and faith of the staff and organisers. And thanks to you, friends and supporters, for following me online and sharing in my welter of quaint little dreams. I’ll keep this up for as long as it takes for airships and classical architecture to really leave the drawing boards again (). I hardly travel, so I’m looking forward to chatting with anyone curious about what my work’s about, and why I do it.
