First an excuse forwardly, because I give my comment about a picture, which makes sth. an object of discussion, I really don't know and it never happened to me (I can't imagine, how much I would be scared)....anyway, let's go for it:
I see several elements in your picture. The anxiety and uncertainty of the girl, who doesn't know, what's happening with her. She is standing in a see of blood, naked in a
world, she obviously doesn't know and finds scary (I think that's the new world of puberty...bleeding, sexual drive, new feelings she can't handle at first)
Sharp, scary claws are closing around her (I think that's a metapher too for the first frightening feelings or change in body and thinking, which tackles a girl in a bloody rush - sorry, don't mean this compare humourisly - so that she have to think, that's some kind of dangerous).
But the claws are part of a machine with a humanoid face, that seems to care about the child (that's - in connection with the claws - is the most interesting part to interprete: is the machine with a humanoid face the future of the girl? Is the whole puberty or evaluation especially sex drive a reducing of the human soul to a machine with a nice looking hull of a face.
But maybe the machine is scary, but sth. like safety. A machine operates with strict rules. Rules you can be aware of and using for your own purpose. I think the humanoid face, which has a so kindly and caring face, symbolizes to me, that there IS a caring and good mentioning purpose in this machine called evaluation).
Besides the potential of how to interpretate this picture, I have to say it again:
Your way of drawing and giving the scene a immensely atmosphere. Everytime seeing your style, I am wondering and can't get my eyes of it. I really appreciate your work.
