Well what are you planning to do in 2D/2.5D or 3D? 3D isn't all that difficult once you get used to it. But initially it might seem a bit scary. As for animating in 3D, the basic 2D principles apply so aside from some differences in workflow, the approach is pretty much the same.

3D ill have to make everything and im on my own it be easyer to do 2d, if i did go 3d it will take years maybe later but one shouldn't try to run if you cant walk yet I need a safe net to fall back on if it fails to sell

I think you should try with 2D first before venturing into more complex territories. Also, I think most people get acostumed the easiest with 2D. ^^
