I forgot to mention how awesomely sharp the photo is too. 100 ISO on the 30D looks spectacular eh? We've got some of the same gear.

no doubt, thank you so much, i must say the same thing about all of your portraits, incredible sharpness, do you use fixed lenses quite a lot? i was thinking about getting a one, but i think i'm just going to put that money towards my next set up, which will not be cheap haha.

Yup, i use my fixed Canon 50mm 1.8. If you DONT have one, BUY ONE. Crazy enough, you can pick that exact one up for roughly 100 bucks US.
