Description I made this back in September and forgot all about it. It's Bari Deanston, a character who plays a small part in the Ogden's Rock story that is working on (part of Extrasolar, of course!), who runs a bar and club there called "Quarantine".

Character is M4 made in Poser; I made the background text and bar in Vue. Rendered in Vue with post work in Photoshop.

Oh yeah! This guy's bad looking in a handsome kind of way. How could you forget all about this one? Are you trying to rip us off or something? Love this model!

Thanks a bunch, Kikue!

Thank you so much, Angel! Yes, we have a whole collection of characters, and some more that do not yet have images. It's fun to make a whole universe, and it would be even more fun to have a film one day. For now, just having fun writing and creating images. It's what we love to do! Cheers, my friend!

It's a good job. every time you expand that universe, you see more and more credible.
You can write many stories about it.
I also love that you are making the collaboration with his colleague. Have different ways of seeing things, and yet, very common. It is fantastic to see them create, in parallel. Congratulations to both!

Thank you again, my friend! Yes, my friend and I share the same vision, and it's so much fun to illustrate with scenes what we write for the story.

Suave.... yes, that is the word. Suave.

Mutton-chops (stylish ones, though) for the win.

Yeah, I'm usually not a fan of mutton-chops, but in some instances it's kind of nice. And I wanted this fella to have a distinguishing look to his facial hair, something out of the norm, rather than a beard or goatee. Glad you like! And yes, in my mind he's quite suave!

A bar-owner should be suave and a little sophisticated, as well as sensitive behind a bit of a tough, professional exterior And these aren't wild-west mutton-chops. These are stylish facial hair by someone who just wants to look good.

Now that the compliments are out of the way... that shirt looks a little tight.. why doesn't he take it off...?

Charming someone's shirt off is the easy part. The challenge comes into charming off their pants

Sadly I am a toothless predator these days, my threats are all bluff

hehe In my experience, once the shirt comes off, the pants ain't too slow to follow!

And, hogwash! lol You've still got it! Once a charmer...

Oh yes. The elusive and complicated Ogden’s rock story… my brain goes β€œOH LAAAWD – DON’T TORMENT ME, THERE IS NO WAY OUT OF THIS LABYRINTH OF CONFUSION”
I like Bari. He has a kind bartender face and the club looks just awesome. Like you I get wonderful Mass Effect vibes.

LOL! Yay! Well, one of these days we can return to Ogden's Rock and complete things. No rush. It's a fun diversion anyway, but then again, they're all fun diversions!

Yes, ME2's bars are so awesome. I'd love to capture that look and feel without copying it. We'll see...

Oooo, another hunky ES guy! Yummm! He's a furry one too, love that fuzzy chest and the sideburns. Cool, so that is what they look like in the future. hehe Wonderful character Ryan. I can totally picture this guy running a club. I like the name of it too. Sounds like if you go in, you don't come out. la la la I like the idea of a club carved out of rock. When I went to Acapulco years ago, there was a club there called Baby O's and the entire outside of the club was the name, totally carved out of rock. You had to ascend several flights of stairs to gain entry at the very top. Then when you walked in, it was like tiers of balconies that flowed all the way down to the bottom floor. Most awesome thing I have ever seen. If you get the time, it would be really cool to carve your bar out of stone. Might be fun to do. Awesome work sweetie!

Thank you very much! Glad you like him. That bar in Mexico sounds awesome! I'd love to see that. Yeah, this place here is actually inside an asteroid (Ogden's Rock - a Bjorn creation that will play as a scene for a murder mystery). Forgot to mention that little tidbit. lol

Oooo, murder and intrigue. hehe Sounds awesome, love murder mysteries. Check this out [link] it's the website for that club in Acapulco I was talking about. Too funny! There were 12 of us girls that were on the trip and we hung out and partied every night. We had a limo ride from the hotel anytime we wanted. The mayor of the city at the time had the hots for one of the girls and he would have his driver pick us up and take us wherever we wanted to go. They called us the dirty dozen. haha It was a really fun time.

haha, we did. Our flight was leaving the next morning at 8:00am and we got back to the hotel around 7:00am!!! My wee head was a bit fuzzy on the plane ride home. Good thing they were serving complimentary pink champagne! Whew! lol It was funny to find this. It actually looks different then what I remember. Of course that was so many moons ago. haha

Thanks Lance! Yeah, I have this big binder on my desk full of scribbles and random thoughts - it's just getting them into some kind of order. If I leave them in my head, they'll vanish. My brain is an unreliable source to store things! lol

For some reason I actually remember this, you must have shared it when you were in the process of creating it. Wicked colors, and he looks awesome. I can just picture him fondling a twizzle stick!

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

jrmalone In reply to VeeSwan [2011-01-07 00:45:32 +0000 UTC]

Uh, that's no twizzle stick! lol hehe Thanks, Vee! Yeah, I posted in my WIP over at AZ - that's where you saw it, plus I think I did share with you while I was making it. I had this grand plan of creating this night club that was carved out of a rock, but geesh, what a chore. So put on the back-burner.
Add to the "To Do" list... <- LMAO I stumbled onto that one at the perfect time!

LMAO ahhh yeah, thats the ticket. hmmmmm... thats a pretty awesome idea actually, a night club carved out of a rock. I think that is doable. I like your "to do" list LOL crazy!

jrmalone In reply to VeeSwan [2011-01-07 14:32:29 +0000 UTC]

hehe Thought you'd get a kick out of it!

I'll have to sketch out the bar on good ole paper because in my mind it's huge and cavernous, with tiers and a couple of levels. It's a good way too for me to design some things in Hexagon.

Wow, that sounds incredibly cool, I think you should work on it. It would definitely be a great practice in Hex and shouldn't be too difficult. It sounds like a killer club too ;-P

Thanks Pete! lol It was a test run I believe, I'm not sure. I just know I was looking through some stuff yesterday and found it. I had done the post work on it and everything. I believe it was during a work-distracting moment. September - October was a blur to me.
