Ah, the lines are perfect here, well done! HoweVER I think the shading on the other one was better because it had consistency rather than tiny bit of shadows here and tiny bit of light there which leaves the body looking a little flat.
XD now its my turn to learn the Pokemon style.

so all i need to do is keep these lines (perhaps a bit thinner) and keep a consistent, large shading style. Cool. Unfortunately you probably won't see more stuff from me for about a week... The pen on my tablet is broken...

looking great.
often times small pieces of shadows arent needed, especially on the top.
the lines are looking good too.
just keep practicing is pretty much all i can tell you at this point
develop your own style, etc. :]

Thx m8, much appreciated. To be honest I'm worrying that I'm gonna develop too much of my own style. I want to keep it as close to Sugimori as physically possible, which is what causes me to analyse your work constantly, as you've pretty much got it perfect.
