Description
This is one of my deviantIDs from back in the day. I left it online because it's cute and a little piece of my deviantART past.

What's the 'Starboy' thing about? My username used to be =StarBoyDeath (I created my account when I was thirteen). It's a reference to Stargirl, a book by Jerry Spinelli.

“She was illusive. She was today. She was tomorrow. She was the faintest scent of a cactus flower, the flitting shadow of an elf owl. We did not know what to make of her. In our minds we tried to pin her to a corkboard like a butterfly, but the pin merely went through and away she flew.”

Anyways.
Hurrah to my past self, sitting on the grass and singing about mountains, romanticizing about book characters and making good-try digital art.

My mom took this picture of me while I was quietly playing my acoustic guitar and singing in this field. We were camping on the fringes of the Badlands in the United States. It was quite something to be there, I can tell you.

Fantastic geological place. Lot's of wind.
Lots of beauty.

[I couldn't help but sing to the wind.]

Technique
I edited this quite a bit, which I didn't expect. The reason for doing so was because I thought the sky was very beautiful, so I darkened midtone and saturated the picture, which effectively turned the foreground into a silhouette. So I had to brighten it, which made the clouds almost invisible. So I combined the two pictures to get this.

And then I decided I liked it so much that I put in "I am Starboy" to make it my deviantID.
