Impact

The initial impact of color is quite nice, but upon closer inspection the figure is weakly done. The nose is too small and not very well shaped. The eyes are pretty nice but you over-emphasized the lighting just below her eyebrows, which are themselves a bit too dark. The hair rises a bit too high in the back, doesn't quite suit the proportion of the face. I'm a bit torn on the hair. I like parts of it, and the brush you were using seems to work, except where it starts to look messy or too stringy.

It's a nice bit of brush and texture practice, for sure, but not something I would hang on a wall just yet. I think a little editing and it would look a lot better.

Vision score: 3 stars because it's nice and I can see what you were aiming for, but it doesn't quite hit the mark and isn't super exciting as a composition.

Originality: 1.5 It's a straight-on view of a face with cool blue lighting... seen plenty like it before.

Technique: Solid 3, based on what I've seen you do before, it's alright. You clearly can paint, but this isn't an exceptional piece by your measure.

Impact: I like the initial impression of color and light in a dark space. It does have a supernatural luminescent quality going on. I would rate this part higher except that the troubling details about her face quickly deflate my initial excitement/interest in the piece.

I really don't want to put you down too much, it's a nice piece, but you obviously handle landscapes so much better than people and faces. I'm the reverse, good with faces and terrible at environments. It is nice, but I think you can do better.

You are excellent with landscapes but I see you struggle a little with faces. The color use is lovely. It reminds me strongly of another piece I've seen and liked.
