Personality: For most part quiet save for when she's having fun. Even then, she won't smile often and tends to come off as cold. She loves things passionately but rarely shows it outward. Also, despite acting like a princess most times, behind closed doors, she a sloppy nerd who loves anime and weapons.

Background: She was conceived around the time of Princess Celestia's disappearance and was born in Equestria. Originally, Luna wanted to take care of her in Canterlot but things were in chaos at the time so her mate, Asra suggested he care for her for a few years. That and apparently sphinxes had a different way of raising cubs than ponies and feared Luna would miss something. So for the first 4 year of Des's life, she lived with her father, learning about the country, weapons and how to be a proper sphinx. Though she was instructed to lie to Luna about her teachings, little Dessy would just tell her mother about all the weapon training and hunting she did. Luna was horrified by the thought of blood but understood that Sphinx's were carnivores.

She returned to Canterlot at the age of 4 and lived the rest of her life there. At first, she had a hard time adjusting since Ponies were... strange. They didn't hunt mice or eat poisonous plants to build immunity or even bask in the sunlight. Even now, she feels like an outcast.

Facts:
- She is carnivorous but chooses to eat like ponies since they dislike blood.
- She was raised by her father as a cub so she acts more like a sphinx than a pony
- While she might look serious, she is fairly absent minded, most likely thinking about something else.
- She LOVES making weapons, studying weapons and being around a forge. She always smells of coal.
- Suffers from narcolepsy.
- Mane changes color from night to day. Day= black and night=white.
