Volt does not talk about him often, because Volcan often embarrasses him. For some reasons, Volcan thinks that his son has a crush on Sonic -
Since Volt and Sonic were childhood friends, Sonic was a bit like a son figure to him. So when they became rivals, Volcan felt like he lost another member of his family. (...)
Volcan is a nice guy, he is far from a over-protective father (actually, he is not protective at all) and he enjoys to tease everyone (in a friendly way). He barely gets angry, though, the lost of his son and his wife make him more emotial.
Annnd he is a crybaby, he can cry in front of anything. x)
