Description
Presenting my HGUC MSN-001X Delta Kai custom painted and kit bashed, model kit. It's been a while since I gave you guys a sneak peak of this kit when I first built it a while ago. Now I present the kit as I have always imagined it. I'll start off with what's different. First, I got rid of that blue-violet color that just didn’t sit well with my tastes for Gundam paint schemes and replaced it with a Navy Blue. Secondly, in certain sections, I painted Navy Insignia White so it would break up some of the plain white color that takes up the majority of this kit. I got the idea from the RG RX-78, to paint different shades on the white and it turned out exactly as I expected. Now that the base kit was finished, I moved on to the accessories. As you can see I touched up this massive shield with blue in a few more places. It looks pretty damn good in my opinion. I sharpened the tip of the shield as well but not so much that I would actually stab myself while putting it back together and for the weapon add-ons. I was bored with the standard beam cannon that we get with the kit and decided to mod the Unicorn Gundam's beam gatling gun to be compatible with this shield. I cut and pasted a connecting piece to the end of the BGG and now it is able to lock into the shield and no mirrors the look of the machine cannons seen in the video game "Gundam UC". Last but not least, the beam sabers. If you have read the manga, then you will note that during a mock battle the Delta Kai's sabers are able to active on the reverse end. So basically I drilled a small hole in the end of the saber and now I can chop off arms just like in the manga. For now I will place this kit on the GP Base that I purchased and it is the center piece for my Gundam shelf. Thank you guys for reading; I have more Delta madness to come in the near future.
Thank you and have a nice day!
