Description Soldier: Men, I have an announcement to make! After years of searching I have finally found the legendary Crimson Dagger of Sun Tzu!
*flashback to twenty minutes ago where we see Soldier learning about the dagger for the first time*
Demoman: That's amazing! How'd you find it?
Soldier: I made my way into some stupid English lady's house. Those American wannabes ain't got nothing on us. I bet that sissy doesn't even notice it's gone!
*Cut to soldier very loudly blasting down a door in Croft Manor with his shotgun, entering a room full of artifacts and yelling his contempt for the supposedly incompetent labelling of each one. He finds the dagger in a glass display case which he immediately smashes with his shovel, setting off an alarm. He finally bolts out of the room knocking over a number of displays.*
Pyro: MPH MPH MPH!
Soldier: She was a fool. The moron had the nerve to call this a medieval dagger, and she said that Abraham Lincoln's gun cabinet was from Ancient Egypt! That woman calls herself a historian? The nerve! But I know the truth that this is none other than the  dagger forged by Sun Tzu himself the day he invented fighting! Every battle Sun Tzu took this dagger with him, and with it he perfected fighting so that no living man could best him in the ring of honor! Legend has it that he who wields the dagger will become the greatest fighter of all, and now I will take it with me into battle tomorrow. We will be UNSTOPPABLE!
Lara: Idiots.

Soldier thought he was so clever when he broke into Croft manor to steal a priceless medieval dagger  the legendary CRIMSON DAGGER FORGED BY SUN TZU HIMSELF! Unfortunately, Soldier didn't really take into account that his plan was to break into and vandalize Lara Croft's house before trying to make off with one of her artifacts. Apparently he didn't think LARA CROFT would be an issue.

I've been playing Shadow of the Tomb Raider. It's intense, even compared to the other games. There's a lot more emphasis on survival now (survivalist themes have been a big part of the reboot, something not as overtly present in previous incarnations) and possibly more ways to die than PEASANT'S QUEST (a game that delighted in finding unusual ways to kill the player)! It's quite intense so far, but that's not too surprising given the tone of the previous two games. The part that has me worried is that I'm told this is supposed to be a conclusion to the trilogy. Does that mean it's going to be the end of this series or just this story arc? Like will there be another game that takes place in the same continuity and features the same Lara but begins a new storyline or should we expect ANOTHER reboot? Only time will tell, I guess.

Anyway, I felt like doing SOMETHING with Lara. I actually do kind of want someone to port her Shadow of the Tomb Raider model (maybe a few other outfits from Rise of the Tomb Raider as well- then I wouldn't have to show her wearing a winter jacket everywhere she goes). I thought about doing something that more directly pertains to the new game but haven't come up with any good concepts yet, so I just decided to do a simple poster depicting her in action.

Coldfront seemed like an appropriate map, since it was consistent with the winter clothing Lara wears in the model I normally use. I tried to make something that looked like a moment in one of the games, with Lara croft hiding and observing the enemies waiting for her opportunity.

The idea of Soldier entering Croft manor is one I found particularly amusing. I feel like there's something in there, probably along the lines of Soldier chastising Lara Croft's skills as a historian and proceeding to arrogantly mislabel everything. He does after all have a really weird view of history. Most famously in "Meet the Soldier" he claims that Sun Tzu INVENTED fighting. I think I remember there being an article at one point where Soldier also claimed that stairs were invented to save people the trouble of having to ROCKET JUMP to the second floor. I could see him just grabbing a permanent marker and scribbling a bunch of "corrected" labels onto each of them.

I also figured Demoman and Pyro were the two most likely to believe Soldier's claim that he had found this made-up artifact, considering Demoman is usually drunk and Pyro is... well... Pyro. Heavy, Sniper, Spy, Engineer, and Scout seemed a bit too level-headed to go along with it.
