Description Two or three months ago my friend posted this great deviation [link] of one of his character, the cruel goddes of light, Solari. I found it amazing (the three halos are a great idea).

I asked him if it was ok to drow something about her, and he said yes.

Here it is.

I waited 2 or 3 months for the right ispiration, but now I think I like it.
I strongly suggest to give a look to the blavk version of the pic [link] . I prefer it.

24 hour of work and my first pic inked using the wacom.

Thank you 1000 times for the permission to use one of your great character. This pic is surely for you. I hope you like it.

Burning sunlight, Life's bane
Celestial halo of blazing light
yet heroes of darkness rise
the midnight consortium they comprise
striking from the shadows to set things right
biting back with spells profane

A terrible battle did ensue
darkness and light battle
banes of darkness fall and rattle,
but at last, one does strike true

and darkness fell upon all
as the Sun-god's head did fall

Dark is not evil.

I perfer the black version too: the colors you used here are a bit too bright for all of your details to be visible.

And they are DEFINATELY details worth seeing. E-GODS man: the nine-eyed mask, the back halo, you are one line artist par excellence!

I think you really caught a character here: this woman is cold, she tries too hard to be a Holy Being which means she's not. A real holy creature would not need such glamor and trappings to declare it's nature. A real holy creature wouldn't hide it's real eyes and decorate itself with fake ones to confuse you.

A nice, balanced composition with just enough asymetricality to keep the eye moving around the middle, where things can get muddled. If I had to find fault, I'd say the anatomy and gesture of her left-hand looked off, considering the theatricality of her right one, and that the right foot and perspective of the tucked-up knee were a bit off. I'm a bit confused about the pose of the legs: why would a goddess press her knees together like a nervous schoolgirl?

Still a damn good piece. Sorry it took me so long to write anything on it, I haven't been inspired lately.

Thank you I prefer the black one too.

I don't agree my friend. Ok, she is cold, but there are definitvely cold and cruel goddess in history. Thinks of the dark side of kali or Hera, the wife of Zeus.
I was ispired by indian statues of the gods. They use to paint the 3rd eye on the forehead, to simbolise knowledge. She is wearing a mask, because she doesn't care for the life of her faithfuls. The doesn't deserve to meet her true eyes. Nobody can meet the eyes of a god and stay alive. All the jewels are surely symbols of pride and vanity.
why would a goddess press her knees together like a nervous schoolgirl? Well, I thought it was more graceful and easy than showing her in a normal standing position. Just to give movement to the composition. Legs are damn difficoult to draw for me.

NICE! Better than your other works in my opinion because of the crispness of the art and the extent to which the detail has been drawn. Really great improvement!

Ah, it is a option you can find under the brush panel. In PS CS2 is on the top side, near the "tool presets" one. Then you have to click on the "shape dinamics" option and then try to change the settings of the pressure
