Description
This primitive insectivore is one of the only poisonous mammals you can find today. They are only found in Cuba and Haiti and are at serious risk due to predation by foreign dogs, cats and mongooses. The solenodon is a wonderfully unique animal that is only recently getting the conservation attention it needs.I think I was channeling some John K. when I drew this one.
