Wonderful shot, Joe. Aren't they a lovely pair? Pelicans are quite friendly, I believe. I met one once on a Greek island, Lesbos. He enjoyed cuddles from passers-by.

Great comments!! A Really well thought out study. Only have a tinny comment to offer. The word "flaw" implies error and I can accept that the observer may not like footprints. However, to transport a personal taste into a stated error troubles me. The very building is a foot print of humanity... and these foot prints add to the feeling of time past and lends on organic whisper of humanity gone and outlived by his or her own creator.
Cool! I love pelicans. I have not got hugs but in Florida (that has got to be awesome!!!) I got to stand on the side of a boardwalk one evening, and got to talk to one pelican who for some reason decided to hang out and listen to me. Every so often he would clap his beak and looked at me!!!
Eventually a kid got too curious and too close so my new acquired friend left.
