haha, it's a bit complicated - i've done a bit of work looking for an agent to no avail, and am currently rewriting a massive portion of the manuscript. i'm thinking i'll wait 'till i get to college to seek the advice of nearby agents and professors, see what i should do - so it's possible the book will be self-published within the next few years, or that it'll be professionally published later than that. i'm sorry i can't offer a more definitive answer; i really wish this process was clearer!! your support and patience means so much, believe me <3

oh no its fine!! i understand. my dad wrote a full 100 page graphic novel, hired an artist, and got it all finished. there was a long time where nobody wanted to publish it. and now... it's just a dead project that's been taken away from him
it's great that you're sticking with it. keep it up! can't wait to see more : )

TBH i really want to know now how Michael's cousins grew up to be the people they are in the story's present time bc like, i see so much difference between them as adult and in that one pic of them as kids :'^0

okay so!! deniz's story isn't particularly interesting, he was just a snobby smart kid that humbled significantly as he grew up and put his big brain to work (engineering, which reflects his childhood love for robots and spaceships and all things technical)
anaaaa on the other hand has a bit of a sadder developmental story. when she and michael were ~17 or so, ana was sexually assaulted at some high school rager and shut herself in, personality completely reshaping itself from sociable and flirtatious to almost completely absent altogether
(interjection; the fear and self-blame this brought michael is what resulted in him enlisting)
eventually (around 2 years later) ana decided she'd had enough of hiding away in her room so she donned a niqab as a sort of armor, went to college for political science, and moved to turkey for a drastic change of scenery. there, she quickly climbed the ranks of the turkish government and eventually became the minister of national defense! and bilal was later assigned her secretary and they fell in looooooooooove
