Description Batman and the rest of the crew are property of DC/Warner Bros., etc.

A refined version of my previous Batmobile concept. Here I took my fondness for the old '66 TV Batmobile and mixed in some more of that retro-Golden Age goodness with another idea that had occurred to me years ago but I had never followed through with it, at least as a drawing, anyway - which was the notion of the Batmobile being able to disguise itself in a pinch. As I had noted in my previous Batmobile Concept, the car's outer body would probably have special UV-reactive modifications to change its color to black when needed. I figure normally it'd be sports-car red, as an homage to the original color of the Lincoln Futura before George Barris, "King Of The Kustomizers", pimped that ride Gotham City-style.

Speaking of Barris, I give credit where credit's due here: I imagine the car - like the Tumbler in "Batman Begins" - was something developed by Wayne Enterprise's automotive division which Bruce appropriated for himself in typical bored-playboy fashion, at which point he, Alfred and Babs made some additional "customizations". Incidentally, the head of Wayne Motors would be none other than a certain Mr. Earl Cooper (also owing to B:TAS and the origins of the Batmobile as depicted there), hence the subsidiary name of Barris-Cooper Automotive.

The model name is derived from the name of Zorro's horse - also acknowledging the influence of Zorro in-story in Batman's origin (recall that in the comics his parents werre murdered when they came out of a showing of "The Mark Of Zorro"), as well as also providing significance for the distinct "T"-shaped venting in the car's nose that helps distract from its retractable ram-ready "modifications". Plus, the Futura Edition not only gives it the notation of being a conceptual design (not being FULLY mass-produced, anyway), but of course pays a nod to the original TV Batmobile as well.

Very cool and well thought out. Detail stuff like this makes my inner nerd dance with joy.

My outer nerd doesn't dance 'cuz I'm a big, scary, guy with a really bad knee.
