Description It has been several years since the Jedi arrived on Dagobah. His solitude here is complete. While he feels himself surrounded by the Force, something that is abnormally strong here, that strength only amplifies Yoda's perception of the Force and the periodic cries of help from his fellow Jedi as they are hunted down and destroyed throughout the Galaxy. The high concentration of life here masks Yoda's presence and it is highly unlikely he will ever be discovered by his enemies. But that same camouflage of life will also mean it will be very unlikely he will ever be rescued by his friends and allies. This is his home now. This is where he will spend the remainder of his life.

From this vantage point, Yoda is able to watch the events of the Galaxy unfolding around him. He can sense the lives of his former students as they traverse the stars, trying to consolidate power, building up a rebellion to the Emperors ever growing Empire. But their plans all seem to fail as the Emperor's greatest pupil Darth Vader, the once promising Jedi turned Sith, hunts them down without mercy.

But there is one other Jedi who has managed to remain undiscovered by the Empires forces. Yoda's former Padawan and friend, Obi-Wan Kenobi. He too has found an isolated planet, not totally free of life, but far from the sights of the Empire or Vader. He follows closely the path of Vaders hidden son, Luke Skywalker. While Obi-Wan feels there is hope in young Skywalker, hope for the future, Yoda still feels unconvinced. The child is reckless, unfocused, a slave to his emotions. Yoda senses the child is already destined to follow his father on the path to the Dark Side.

And again, in his self imposed exile, Yoda can do nothing about this. He can only watch from afar. It would be foolish of him to deny that he feels the temptation of the Dark Side in these dire times. He has not felt the seductive lure of the Dark Side since his youth. Hundreds of years passed where Yoda was surrounded by the power of the Light, surrounded by friends, and fulfilled with a purpose of passing on his knowledge to young Jedi students. But now he has only seemingly limitless time and the thoughts of pain and anguish for the loss of his friends and the desperate turn of events in the Galaxy.

Nearby there is a small cave. Mostly devoid of life, it may provide Yoda a place to meditate and regather his focus. He will go there and attempt to purge himself of the temptation for anger or fear. He will try to let go of the burden he carries.
