I saw her one day, she wasn't like the rest: Most her age were energetic and talkative, but not her, she was always shy, quiet, and she always seemed tense, or even afraid. I always wondered and concerned as to why she was like that, but I didn't ask. She was always in trouble for not listening, and she seemed skittish among others, but I eventually tried to gain her trust to find out why she was this way. We had become friends, and we learned from each other. I taught her not everyone was a bad person, and in return, she showed me to enjoy the little things in life. She was kind, protective, loving, and outgoing once I got to know the real her. I later learned she had been beaten and neglected all her life, and I did everything in my power to help her. I never would have thought such a scarred soul could be such a sweet one....
