I'm glad someone else agrees with me. Thank you. Our girls were so excited on their hike; as we started up the trail, they couldn't help but continually state, "TREES!" As we reached the peak, after having bush-wacked our way partially, we came to a somewhat clear meadow amoungst the treeline, with flowers... We don't have that here in dairy-country... Where it seems all we have it drought and fires... These girls were extremely blessed those past few days. And, especially AFTER the hike, when their feet were hurting from blisters and sliding and falling against slickrock... they ran so fast back to the snow-cold river to soak, it felt OH so good!

I'm a fellow administrator, this was a Young Woman at Young Women's Camp... This was a Divine Nature moment. If you fail to see it as such, then that's your perogative.

If you can't take critique don't ask for it maybe if you explained what was going on and how it relates to the gospel it would be more acceptable. It really is pretty tho.

I can take the critique, and, it was explained that it was YW Camp. So, it relates to the Gospel.

Oh, it is SOOOO true!! Especially where WE'RE from (high plains, high fire danger...). So, when we saw there was a bridge, and a running river, our girls were ESTATIC!!! They ended up crossing it at first, then wandering down it as far as they could (as far as we could see and follow them, plants on riverbank permitting).

I remember we had to cross a swollen river for the Adventure er what ever they are called and I took a header into the water with one of the young women's backpacks

Oh, some of our girls did the same, but came up LAUGHING their heads off. It was kind of worrisome, but they had an awesome time doing it! I'm just sad that this could be my final year as Camp Director, after having been Camp Director for the past four summers.

simply fantastic. My mother is turning 80 in a week but way back she and others were on the general board for camp and help write the certification requirements that the YW have to complete... I am sure it has changed since but she loved it. She rented a gorilla costume one time when she was at camp and waited until everyone was relaxed and it was dark... she said she spent half the night trying to find everyone and round bring them back! lol

That's awesome!! I love camp. It's basically what I went into college, and got my Bachelor of Science in. Kinesiology (Outdoor Education and Recreation, Health and Wellness, Recreation Administration)... Of course, in College, we did some SERIOUS Outdoor Recreation, not this fluffy stuff our Young Women do now adays. But, the YW enjoy it, have fun, and do learn some Spiritual Values, along with what Outdoor Recreation COULD be....
