According to the "Looking Back" feature on Facebook, I drew this exactly two years ago today (March 13th)
The caption of the original version states: "Back awhile, my mother and I paid a visit to a local artist (he's actually quite famous in our area for his murals on the side of his building; he calls himself "Gonzo")
My mother had me show him the drawings in my sketchpad. While she was berating me and insulting my style ("she's so unoriginal and just copies what she sees"), he was going through my sketchpad with me. He really liked my human portraits AND my anime drawings and even suggested to me that I combine the two styles."
Two years (and a year's worth of art school) later, this is how my style has progressed.
Fun fact: both used Jessica Alba's face as a reference.
