Description One more photograph from last summer from Swedish Lapland.

There is a slight blur in the image which was achieved by gently breathing onto the lens during the long exposure and thus forming a thin layer of "mist" which then fades off and keeps some sharpness in the photo.

I achieved a similar effect with un-focusing the lens at the last second of the exposure.
Neat work

I haven't tried that yet, I did some with zooming the lense.

Well done, nice shot... I saw that technique as well from Marc Adamus with breathing onto the lens. Looking forward to doing it myself.

You should try it
It takes a few tries to get it right though.

I kind of dislike that one tree,
but then again whacking it down because of a photograp
doesn't seem right either

I really like this blur effect! I guess I should try something like this too!!

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

jjuuhhaa In reply to Vipallica [2009-01-21 22:22:00 +0000 UTC]

You should, there are also some other interesting things that you can try during a long exposure, like zooming carefully or even moving the camera

Vipallica In reply to jjuuhhaa [2009-01-22 17:12:06 +0000 UTC]

Sounds really interesting!!
But first of all I should get my sensor cleaned...I've got some dust on it which is very bad when you use long exposure times.
