I must get a whole inbox full of requests for Shockwave every month, whew! Fortunately I was able to score an Energon one and create a brand new G1 style Shockwave with the purple-pinkish chest and hand. He transforms into a space cannon or cosmic battleship depending on how you fold him. His arms and removable arm cannons came from a Classics Jetfire and the shoulder cannons came from that Walmart Kid Connections transforming playset that's only available during Christmas time. Honestly I think it's the closest G1 Shockwave I've done to date.Related content

Could you make a shockwave in turret version from the G1 anime ?

Trying to do this guy now. Did you simply drill through the arms to fit on the shoulders? Were you able to still use the spring ratchets them? Pretty specific questions about a custom from a while back, I know, but my first arm swap went tits up and now I gotta part out a treadbolt to save him.

Aw man...can't remember. I think I shaved the black ratchet pegs inside down and glued them on to the flat sections of SHockwave's inner shoulder.

I finally started on my Shockwave today. My first real bash and not just a repaint.
How did you remove the left fist and replace it with the gun hand? I have all the pieces I need but not sure what to do next.

I keep coming back to this picture. I got my hands on another Shockblast and a Six Shot. I think I will get a Universe Treadbolt and try to mod the arms. I know you said you did some hacksawing, filing, and gluing. Did you use any of the original Shockblast arm to connect to the Jetfire arms? And what kind of glue did you use?

I just got a Shock blast. I am studying mine and looking at yours too. Just taking the kibble on the right arm made him look better. Did you use 2 Shockblasts. It looks like you took a left shoulder and used it to replace the right one to even it out.

Awesome Shockwave v.2 , how you attach the bazooka shoulder ?? using magnet ? Cant believe shockwave was so skinny without his weapon (picture number 2 left) ... hahaha
