Description
Just to show I can draw something not Batman related...an old cover for Wizard sans logo, cropping and whatnot. Wanted to go for 60's pop art coloring style/presentation.Inks by Scott Williams. Colors by Alex Sinclair. Project still in the works. I wish I didn't have to sleep. So much more productive that way...

Aw man, that brings back memories. I'm pretty sure I still have a box of old Image comics stuff in the basement. Jim, you were always my favourite comic artist. Always blew me away, no matter what project you were working on. Glad I stumbled across this.

Very cool look. The background gives the image that feel for the era. Especially with the printing dot look.
The Pop Art Movement was a really interesting all on its own. Lichtenstein was one of my personal favorites during that era using the Comic style in his work.

I have a question I was hoping you could help me with. It has to do with the thin and thickness of lines. How do you do so? It seems that you use an angled or flat-edged or chisseled type of pencil or pen to give your lines more depth. Can you please tell me how you produce line where portions are thin and others are thicker? Id really appreciate the help.

goddamn, i remember picking up WildC.A.T.s back in the day and it was the first series that got me seriously into comics, and Grifter was without a doubt the baddest sonuvabitch ever. just wanted to say thanks for creating such awesome characters and continuing to use your skills to make awesome artwork.
although i'm not a comic artist or illustrator (but rather motion graphics design/animation), your work was always a source of inspiration for me even as a young'n.
