So I got curious enough to do this one after all.

Yeah, I'd say this one is probably the weakest in the series by default, and considering this is the first entry I have no problem with that.

I was debating on whether to give this a 3.5 or 4, and the deciding factor was not the benefit of being released on a retro console (though I do usually take that into consideration) but the fact that once I got past the not fun beginning section and into the water temple I ONCE AGAIN found myself Not Able to put the Game Down! Even in the face of some of its Stupidly Frustrating Moments!

I'd say this one probably requires a special appreciation for Shantae Games, Metroidvania Games, or 8-Bit Handheld Games to get the most out of it, but it's still playable in this day and age... Though yes, I Would like to see this game get remade one of these days...
